About the Speaker:
Jason Scott, the founder of 120 Venture Construction has dedicated his career and livelihood to the advancement of project management. An accomplished practitioner whose services were in high demand, he created a company, the core of which is a patented project management toolkit that yields consistent, repeatable results and has ensured the success of hundreds of projects for his company’s clients.

Jason began his IT project management career in 1990 with the U.S. Navy, where many project management techniques were developed. His first project was the replacement of shipboard supply chain management systems in the Western Pacific Fleet, which in those days required a complete gut and replacement of the entire datacenter. He was awarded the Navy Achievement medal for the successful completion of these projects.

After completing his six-year tour of duty, Jason was hired by Universal Music Group where his first project was the refresh/replacement of the company’s more than 1000 desktop computers and a company-wide upgrade to Windows 95. Within his first year at Universal Music, he was promoted to Director and tasked with and successfully managed the Polygram and Universal Music merger. In late 1998 Universal Studios’ Global Y2K project was in need of “rescue” and Jason was handpicked to plan and complete it on time and to pass all audit requirements. After the mission had been successfully completed, Jason left Universal to start 120 Venture Construction in 2000.

Jason is frequently invited to speak to organizations seeking to advance their application of effective project and portfolio management. The 120 VC project and portfolio management toolkits are available for licensing and are currently being implemented by in client organizations. As a service to the Project Management community, the company makes its Project Management Guidebook and training available to individuals for purchase on the 120VC.com website.
