About the presentation:
This is a comprehensive and unique blend of Earned Value Management implementation and monitoring using Project Insight as a Project Management Software tool to simulate the implementation of a real life project.
This presentation allows participants to experience "behind the scenes" what happens in the day to day life of a real project. The presentation is run in a "hands on" workshop format.
The presentation covers the project from "cradle to grave" and demonstrates to the workshop participant what needs to be done to optimize and run a real production project on time and on budget.
The workshop covers the setting up of the project in terms of the Work Breakdown Structure, Organizational Breakdown Structure and Control Accounts. Since this is a Production Project, the setup will also cover the Bill of Materials and the scheduling of assemblies, subassemblies, fabricated as well as subcontracted and purchased components.
The workshop participants will then set budgets, earn value, create actual costs and compute Schedule and Cost Variances to help track the project on a monthly basis.
At the end of the workshop, participants should be able to measure the progress of their project and to keep their project on track in terms of schedule and costs.
