About the Presentation:
The objective is to present attendees with firsthand knowledge of working Project Management in the industry of Consumer Goods. The presenter Ron Renati, PMP will be sharing his personal experience in the journey of adapting the tools and techniques of PMI with his current employer, Nestle. It is relatively new for fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies, like Nestle, to adapt PMI tools into their business process. The presenter is planning to share few of his experiences like; the challenges faced during the development of their new business tools, the improvement to the innovation & renovation of products and processes, the drive to continuous improvement etc. This journey within Nestle helped in creating greater value products, there enhancing their current market share. We believe this presentation will help us in identifying the new ways of leveraging the PMBOK.
About the Speaker:
Ron Renati, PMP, is currently employed at Nestle R&D, Bakersfield as a Quality Systems Manager. Ron joined Nestle in 1988 as a Microbiologist at Bakersfield R&D facility and . During last 24 years of his career with Nestle, he held various positions in the organization with increasing responsibilities and worked at different international locations in Asia, South America, South Africa, & continental USA. He has successfully lead many cross functional teams in a spectrum of projects in food industry.
Ron has bachelor's degree in "Dairy science" from Cal Poly State University. He acquired Master’s Certificate in Organizational Management (Villanova University) in 2010, PMP Certification (Project Management Institute), and Food Safety Management System Certification: ISO 22000 Audit. On the personal side, he lives in Bakersfield, CA with his lovely family wife Liana, daughter Rafaela & son Matt. His motto "Create value through leveraging my global experience, skills and energy".

Pizza, snacks and refreshments will be provided. To cover expenses and allow for better preparation we ask members to sign up online on the chapter web site. As always, guests and walk-ins are also welcome. Attending this interesting presentation will provide one PDU towards maintaining the currency of your PMI Certification. Enjoy the company of fellow project professionals. If you are working towards PMI certification, bring your questions. The first 30 minutes of our monthly meeting is dedicated to networking and you will have plenty opportunity talking to holders of the PMI certificate you might desire.
The cost of the events is $10.00 for members and $15.00 for non-members. We welcome students interested in Project Management to attend at no cost.
