GUEST SPEAKER: Adrienne Bellehumeur

Adrienne Bellehumeur is the Owner and Director of Risk Oversight, a Canadian consulting firm specializing in GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) and internal controls and audit programs. She is the founder of Bellehumeur Co., where she speaks, consults, trains, and writes on documentation, productivity, and workflow best practices.

In her 20 years of experience as a consultant and business owner, she has developed a documentation approach called “Dynamic Documentation” through tackling business analyst assignments, working with Boards, SOX programs, audits and review engagements, information management projects, technical and proposal writing, communications and change management advising, and much more.

You can think of her latest book The 24-Hour Rule and Other Secrets for Smarter Organizations as the first “mass market” book on documentation best practices. The book draws from the fields of information management, organizational design, and personal productivity and her many years on the ground (and in the trenches) documenting and consulting.

TOPIC OVERVIEW:

A sports team comes together to play on the court, on the field, or on the ice together. But each team member must train on their own in the gym, on the track, or in the pool to have the strength, endurance, and skill they need to win the game.

It’s no different in our business world. Team productivity depends on the work of its individual contributors, as well as how they come together as a team.

While it's trendy to talk about tools, technology, meetings, and other gimmicks to solve our team productivity problems, team productivity is more about the stuff we don’t see. It’s about our collective skills, the trust we have in each other, how we share information, and how we know how to let others do their jobs or when to step in, and, most of all, how to keep the momentum going. It’s how we recognize and manage our powers and pitfalls that determines how successful our teams will be.

This session explores the 8 Team Productivity Super “Secrets” to boost your and your team’s productivity practices. Learnings from this session include….
