Join us on Thursday, April 23rd for Our Monthly Webinar In Accordance With CDC Recommendations, This Month's Meeting Will Be Hosted Using Remote Telepresence In order to provide the best support to the chapter, while working to ensure the health and well-being of our of our members, the board has decided to heed the CDC's recommendations on social distancing and curtailing events of 50 or more people. To achieve this goal, we will host the April meeting via telepresence and there will be no gatherings hosted at the Sheraton until the quarantine recommendations are terminated. Topic: Unlock the Potential of Your (Online) Meetings Speaker: Paul Tevis Technology is enabling more and more work to be done by distributed teams. Unlocking the potential of these teams means using that technol-ogy effectively. Teams need to make effective use of their time together in meetings, and this is no small task. Even skilled facilitators can strug-gle to make online meetings as engaging and productive as in-person ones. If you are: A leader who convenes online meetings, A facilitator who support groups in online meetings, or A meeting attendee frustrated with online meetings, then this workshop can help you make your meetings better. This interactive session is not a webinar, and it’s more than a class. It uses the Zoom video-conferencing platform to create an interactive online meeting space. You will identify the differences between what you want your online meetings to be like and how they have actually been. Together with the other participants, you will explore obstacles and ad-vantages of meeting online. Along the way you will experience seven tools for helping groups work together online. You will leave with a plan for applying what you have learned to make your online meetings more effective. About Paul Tevis Paul Tevis is a coach & facilitator who partners with technolo-gy leaders who want to work as effectively with people as they do with technology. Based in Santa Barbara, CA, he has been using effective facilitation to enable meaningful, sustainable change at organizations of all sizes for the last dozen years.
