Join us on Thursday, August 27th for Our Monthly Webinar Topic: Finding your “North Star”: Mapping Principles to Action Speaker: Gail Ferreira, PhD, CEO, Prima Leader, Inc. Leaders without solid principles fail at transforming organizations. Without a guiding “North Star” strategies and plans are directionless, with people left to performing tasks without purpose. Initiatives fail that focus on tactical plans rather than changing individual mindsets. To lead an organization, principles need to be outlined first, followed by strategy and vision, and then tactical plans and roadmaps. Leaders need to transform themselves first to effectively transform organizations, changing negative leadership traits into positive ones by clarifying their own principles. In this presentation, the changes to the PMBOK V7 will be discussed, which includes a new, principle-based format that will support waterfall, agile, and hybrid projects. Principles from Scrum, Agile, Modern Agile, XP, Integral Agile Change Theory, Scaled Agile, LeSS, Disciplined Agile, and Scrum at Scale will be explored in depth. An exercise will be conducted where the group can reflect and select resonant principles to create a tactical execution plan. Past examples from clients will be explored to provide additional examples to the group.
