GUEST SPEAKER: Marina Owen
Marina Owen is the first female CEO of one of the oldest Medicaid-only managed care plans. Marina is responsible for the overall strategic direction, management and administration of all CenCal Health programs and services. She is there to ensure that CenCal Health fulfills its mission, goals, and objectives.
Ms.Owen has more than 15 years of health plan management experience. Prior to becoming the CEO, she was the COO at Central California Alliance for Health. As a CenCal Health alum, Marina served as its Director of Provider Services and Community Engagement from 2008 until 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Biological Sciences from UC Santa Barbara, and is a graduate of the UC Berkeley's Female Executive Leadership Program.
